In conjunction with the University of Edinburgh and the Open University, we integrated the Piccolo Doppio Hyperspectral system into a 15kg take-off weight Unmanned Aerial System using an onboard microprocessor log positional data from the autopilot and instrument triggering at 50Hz. We have flown numerous flights at the Birmingham Institute of Forest Research, to help investigate the effects of excess carbon dioxide on tree growth and physiology. See publications here
We have been assisting the with the deployment of a Headwall co-aligned Hyperspectral LIDAR system. Providing flight services and support for PfCO qualified personnel operating this expensive equipment during field operations. Recently investigating the potential of the system to identify beach plastics.
We have been developing gas sampling systems, high-resolution audio devices and integrating Lidar, thermal and multispectral sensors via embedded code.
